    Retired Hennepin County District Court Judge, past president of the Real Property Section of the Minnesota Bar Association, decorated WWII veteran died surrounded by family on Saturday March 15th, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN after a lengthy illness.

    Gene will be deeply missed by his loving wife Helen; daughters Sharon Farrell, Sheila Farrell Shana (Fred) Heidmann; son Sean (Brenda) Farrell; and grandchildren, Sarah Sullivan, Ian & Erin McFarland, Monique Darton, Jenna & Collin Heidmann; and countless friends in Arizona, the Twin Cities and the Brianerd Lakes Area.

    Gene had a love for gardening, was a avid golfer, member of the 'Hole In One Club' at the Pines at Grandview and a 29 year member of A.A. Gene made a profound impact on all who knew him. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be be held. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday 1-5PM at GILL BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5801 Lyndale Ave. So. Prayer service and remembrances from 3-4PM. Memorials may be sent to the Savation Army. GILL BROTHERS 612-861-6088.
