An American politician and a former Republican member of the U.S. Senate from Minnesota from 1978 - 1995. He was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, attended St. John's University and graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1959. He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1963.
Dr. Robert Warren Durrenberger, PhD(1918-2012)Great-grandson of Gebhard I. Dürrenberger

During World War II Robert was a Major, Army Air Corp, WWII. Meteorologist who served in the Pacific SW. Received PhD from UCLA in Climatology, published numerous articles on solar energy and climatology; became the first Climatologist for the state of Arizona. Named Distinguished Alumnus at Moorhead State where he received his BS degree.

Coordinated Guided Missile and Rocket Design and Development.
