    Rebecca (Becky) A. Christenson (MOM)

    Becky was born on May 27, 1935 and passed away on the morning of March 31, 1999. A lifelong Tacoma resident, Becky graduated from Stadium High School in 1953. She was employed by the JC Penney Co. for 25 years, and later spent 8 years working for the Tacoma Tigers baseball club. She was also a past member of Philomathea at Bellarmine. Becky's greatest joys: Christmas, playing bingo, and spending time with her 2 grand-children.

    Becky is survived by her husband, Norman, of 42 years; sons Rick (Peggy), Greg (Michelle); grandchildren Becca and Ethan; brother Ronald Tallman (Edith); and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Her parents (Gerald and Bernice) preceded her in death.

    Taken prematurely after waging a courageous battle against cancer for the past 2 years. We will miss your caring soul and your quiet strength. Somewhere out there is a place for special people like you. You were loved and will be truly missed.

    We would like to thank Dr. Rao and the Oncology staff at Tacoma General Hospital.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Tuesday, April 6, 1999, 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited Monday, April 5, 1999, 7 p.m. at 1002 South Yakima Avenue Chapel. Entombment Calvary Cloisters. Arrangements by Gaffney Cassedy Allen and Buckley King Funeral Home.
