Obituary of Theresa Mollert
Theresa ‘T’ Mollert

Theresa “T” Mollert, age 89 of St. Peter, died on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Church of St. Peter in St. Peter with burial at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Helen Theresa was born on April 21, 1923 in Le Sueur to Albert and Anastasia (Mager) Hoffmann She graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1942 and went on to the Golden Valley Nursing School in Minneapolis. She then worked for the St. Peter Community Hospital, where she met Clifford Mollert. They were united in marriage on June 2, 1946. She was active in the Church of St. Peter including the choir, funeral choir, church thrift store and was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters. She also sang in the St. Peter Community Choir and helped for 25 years at the St. Peter Area Food Shelf. She loved antiques and in 1976, she and Clifford began Shanaska Drummer Antiques on the Century Farmm and continued in that business until retiring in 1999. T was an active member for 24 years of the St. Peter Questers, Minnehaha Chapter 111 which is the oldest antiquing group in the United States. She was also an Avon Representative for 15 years, Charter member of the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Club and enjoyed traveling to visit family.

Theresa is survived by children: Anne (Jim) Davis, Jane (Dwight) Mattern and David (Pamela) Mollert; grandchildren: Ben (Lori) Davis, MacKenzie (Jason) Weldon and Matthew Mattern; 5 great grandchildren: Breannah, Brock and Troy Davis and Harrison and Vera Weldon. Thank you to all the friends and staff at the Benedictine Living Community and Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice.
She was preceded in death by husband Clifford in 2012 and a daughter, Mary Ellen Mollert-Wenzel.

James Christian, 60, Owatonna

James J. Christian, 60, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, as the result of injuries suffered in an airplane accident.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 5, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Owatonna. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Rev. Peter Klein officiated.

Jim was born Feb. 6, 1944, in St. Peter, the son of John and Josephine (Durenberger) Christian. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-69.
Jim married Sheila Reiman on Aug. 22, 1970, at Lake Crystal. He attended vo-tech school in Mankato for two years, then started working with Owatonna Tool Company in 1972. He was currently employed as a maintenance supervisor for SPX Corp.
Jim was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the High Flying Club and the Quiet Birdmen. He had built his own airplane.

James is survived by his wife, Sheila Christian of Owatonna; his daughter, Jodi Christian of St. Paul; his mother, Josephine Christian of Paynesville; one grandson; siblings, John (Krista) Christian of Garfield; Cheryl Christian of Minne-tonka; Richard Christian of Roscoe; Bonnie (Jerry) Radermacher of Willmar; Connie (Mike) Caskey of Sunburg; Michael (Monica) Christian of Roscoe; Raymond (Susan) Christian of Lacona, Iowa; Joseph (Kathy) Christian of Miltona; Patrick (Vonda) Christian of Paynesville; Becky (Phil) Ahrens of Paynesville; Mary (Scott) Hudson of St. Louis Park; and David (Sara) Christian of Alexandria; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Mark; father John; brother Mark; and his grandparents Theodore and Margaret Durenberger; and Bert and Martha Christian.
